all fair principles of compensation, to receive compensation for such depreciation of their front and back sectione by reason of the works authorized as they may be able to establish,

We further similarly submit such of our clients as can establish they have been affected by it, are entitled to receive compensation for the injurious affecting of their property by reason of the levelling which has taken place in the past and which is validated by the Ordinance.

We submit our clients are entitled to compensation for all such depreciation as they can establish in respect of their front and back sections on the following grounds;- (a)

Because they maintain the value of their front sections will be depreciated in other ways than by interfer ence

with access to the sea.

Because they maintain the value of their back sections

will be depreciated by the works authorized, The total amount of such depreciation is estimated by two leading firma of Surveyors at $125,669.

Because Section 12 of the Ordinance does not take away,

a right to compensation for the back portion of a Lot

if wholly owned i.e. not split up into sections.

Because Section 12 does not take away the right of the

owner of a section which runs through from the road in
